This position develops and executes a comprehensive autonomous driving (AD) data ingest strategy to ensure availability, performance and troubleshooting in US time zone for all US-based IT infrastructure for all AD generations at all MBRDNA locations.
This includes the on-premises networking, storage and compute (CPU and GPU), as well as the cloud environment used to ingest vehicles data, store data, run simulation, develop and test software, build data analytics for autonomous driving teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead IT infrastructure implementation project, including planning, budget management, rollout, continuous improvement/change
- Spearhead localization of central requirements and implementation project for next generation of Autonomous Driving data architecture
- Oversee all support and troubleshoot cases related to AD infrastructure and data ingest applications related issues for Autonomous Driving operations in all US locations
- Drive infrastructure implementation and manage changes to ensure data ingest for all US AD vehicles data
- Monitor the infrastructure capacity in terms of storage, computing power, cooling and electrical power needs
- Ensure design and implementation of required backup and recovery services, based on central service requirements and blueprints
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA or BS, Masters
- Experience in building robust ETL pipelines to handle massive datasets from various data sources
- Proficient in various big data technologies (e.g. Apache Kafka or Beam)
- Experience in major cloud platforms (AWS, GSP, Azure) and specifically services for storage (S3) and compute (Kubernetes, EKS)
- Understanding of data warehousing, data lakes and dashboards/reports stack
- Deep experience with container and container orchestration
- Experience managing project in large scale enterprise
- Experience with managing distributed and intercultural project teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred computer science degree
